The Australian Government has launched the **Game On: Teaming Up for Climate Action** grant program, providing community sporting clubs with access to funding for energy efficiency upgrades, including solar power and battery storage.

For many local clubs, rising electricity costs have become a major expense. From lighting fields and clubhouses to running kitchens, refrigeration, air conditioning and facilities, energy usage can place significant pressure on club budgets.

This new program aims to help sporting organisations reduce running costs, improve sustainability and invest more money back into their members and communities.

## What Funding Is Available?
Eligible community sporting clubs can apply for grants between **$25,000 and $100,000** to support energy and climate upgrades.

Funding may be used towards projects including:

- Solar power installations
- Solar battery storage solutions
- Energy efficiency upgrades
- Electrification projects
- Climate resilience improvements

By investing in smarter energy solutions, clubs can reduce reliance on the grid and protect themselves from future electricity price increases.

## How Solar & Battery Storage Can Benefit Your Club
Unlike a standard home, many sporting clubs have unique energy needs.

Clubhouses, lighting systems, canteens and facilities often consume significant amounts of power during peak times, making a properly designed solar and battery solution essential.

A professionally planned system can help clubs:

✅ Generate their own clean energy
✅ Store excess solar power for evening use
✅ Reduce ongoing electricity expenses
✅ Improve long-term financial sustainability
✅ Lower their environmental impact
