# Solar Funding Now Available for Community Groups

Community groups throughout regional Australia have been able to apply for funding to install solar energy systems, including [battery storage](https://halcolenergy.com.au/solar-battery-package/) options, solar hot water and solar PV panels. The Solar Communities Program released funding of $2.2 million, awarded as grants of $2,500 up to $12,500, for small-scale solar power installations by community groups who proved their eligibility and met certain conditions.
