Not-for-profit organisations and community benefit groups can all apply for grants of up to $35,000 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), as long as they get their skates on! These grants can be used for a variety of purposes, as long as they help the organisation to provide more services or enhance their existing ones. Organisations that are looking to save money – by installing solar power systems, for example – can apply for a grant.
The GCBF is celebrating its 25th year of providing funding grants to Queensland community groups and this latest round – the 100th – is set to be its biggest yet. If you and your community benefit group are interested in applying for a grant, you’ll have to hurry up, because the application window closes at 11.59pm on February 28 2019. The funding rounds are every 3 months.
